Its here! Its here! two-thousand to the motherfucking thirteen!! 2012 was a really weird year for me; after years and years of grinding, I finally bagged myself a record deal, became a published artist and in terms of live shows it was an insane 12 months! I headlined bbc’s introducing stage, did v fest, bestival and a ton of others, not to mention my very first tour supporting rizzle kicks!
what was really hard for me though was the process of recording my album. Its by far the best piece of work Ive ever created, and the most important so far, but while making it its felt like everything else has literally just stopped!
usually by the end of a year I would have released a few new ep’s, some new music videos and had kept up to date with my blog, video diary and the refixes. Naturally, doing all these things makes your profile as an artist grow, whether its gaining twitter followers, facebook likes etc, but with all my focus on finishing the album i hadn’t managed to do anything else. I cant tell you how frustrating it is watching other artists come out with new content and having an awesome fanbase that are running around saying that ‘its my year’ and all i can do is patiently wait.
well the wait is over at LAST! my album goes off to mastering tomorrow and my first single ‘overload’ is gonna be out to buy on the 14th.
I think im gonna start doing video blogs of me talking about stuff like this as well as my usual ‘no sleep for winners’ style of filming, just so you guys know whats going on in this crazy head of mine.
so anyway! the main point of all this ‘rant’ if you want to call it that is this: Im so sorry Ive been out of the picture for so long, and thank you all SO much for sticking with me. This year is gonna be an eventful one to say the least, and i promise i won’t let you guys down!
